Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Attorney with 5-10 years of defense litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing cases from inception to resolution, strong communication skills, and a solid academic background. Experience in products liability, toxic tort, and/or general liability is preferred.

Duties:

• Manage and oversee litigation cases from initial filing through resolution.
• Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct discovery, including depositions and document review.
• Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
• Develop and implement case strategies and manage case files.
• Collaborate with clients, experts, and other legal professionals.
• Stay current with legal developments and industry trends.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of defense litigation experience.
• Hands-on experience with case management from inception through resolution.
• Experience in products liability, toxic tort, and/or general liability preferred.
• Must be admitted to practice in California (CA).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Excellent academic credentials.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar.
