Trial Attorney - Personal Injury Litigation

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Trial Attorney with substantial experience in personal injury litigation to join their established team in Astoria, NY. Duties:

• Oversee a comprehensive caseload of personal injury matters from initial filing through to trial
• Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials
• Conduct depositions and prepare clients and witnesses for trial appearances
• Negotiate and secure settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel
• Represent clients in court, delivering persuasive arguments and presenting evidence effectively
• Develop and sustain strong client relationships through attentive communication and service

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in personal injury litigation, with proven trial experience
• Active license to practice law in New York (New Jersey license is an added advantage)
• Strong drafting skills for legal documents and correspondence
• Familiarity with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw) and best practices in case management

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• New York State Bar License in good standing (NJ license preferred but not required)
