A law firm seeks a knowledgeable securities attorney to join its Investment Funds Group in Raleigh, NC. This professional-track, non-partnership position is designed for an attorney with significant experience in structured securities offerings, particularly in the commercial real estate sector. The role includes representing and advising a variety of clients—such as real estate investment trusts (REITs), public and private companies, and institutional investors—on a range of transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, complex financings, and property development projects.

Duties:

  • Lead and oversee structured securities offerings, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Advise and represent clients in diverse real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, restructuring, complex financing, and property development.
  • Provide strategic insights on real estate finance and investment portfolio structuring to support client goals.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, partners, and cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless and efficient transaction processes.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support the execution of sophisticated financial transactions and compliance standards.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of experience in managing structured securities offerings, with a focus on commercial real estate.
  • Expertise in real estate finance, acquisitions, and property dispositions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and best practices in real estate investment and transaction structuring.
  • Experience with a reputable law firm, preferably within the AmLaw 100.
  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law institution.

Certifications:

  • Active membership and good standing with the North Carolina State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and writing capabilities, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Solid business acumen and well-developed judgment for complex decision-making.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
