Duties

  • Handle personal injury cases from intake through verdict.
  • Draft and respond to motions, demonstrating a deep understanding of legal principles and procedures.
  • Develop and execute persuasive legal strategies using knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure (TRCP) and Rules of Evidence.
  • Manage and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff to ensure case progression.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional client service.
  • Lead and oversee jury trials, presenting cases effectively and with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes.
  • Take and defend depositions, managing witness testimony and evidence.
  • Collaborate with the firm’s team to ensure all aspects of cases are handled efficiently and professionally.

Requirements

  • JD from a fully accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 1 year of litigation experience.
  • At least 1 year of plaintiff or defense-side personal injury litigation experience is preferred.
  • Jury trial experience is required.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Texas, Arizona, Colorado, or New Mexico State Bar.
  • Strong experience in drafting and responding to motions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients and manage complex cases.
  • Excellent knowledge of TRCP and Rules of Evidence.
  • Ambition, passion, and a relentless work ethic.
  • Ability to accept feedback and continuously improve.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a positive, collaborative attitude.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in good standing with the Texas, Arizona, Colorado, or New Mexico State Bar.
