Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an ambitious Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join its Tampa office. Location:

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis to provide well-reasoned advice to clients.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and assist with the litigation process.
• Prepare for and conduct depositions, witness interviews, and client consultations.
• Engage in negotiation efforts to secure favorable settlements and resolutions for clients.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
• Stay updated on legal trends, industry developments, and changes in insurance regulations.
• Participate in team meetings, seminars, and professional development opportunities to improve legal skills.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida Bar.
• 2+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation, with a solid understanding of relevant laws and procedures.
• Proven experience in conducting depositions, negotiations, and courtroom appearances.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Proactive, results-driven, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and professional integrity.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar.

Skills:
