A law firm located in Purchase, NY is looking for a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join their litigation team. Duties:

• Manage an independent caseload with oversight from senior attorneys
• Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
• Research legal issues and prepare memorandums
• Attend hearings, court conferences, and depositions
• Represent the firm during inspections and mediations
• Collaborate with expert witnesses and manage trial preparations
• Participate in trials as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-5 years of experience in civil litigation, particularly in defense work
• Experience with general liability and/or professional liability claims
• Ability to represent clients in both New York and Connecticut is preferred
• Admission to the New York Bar is required
• Connecticut Bar certification is a plus but not mandatory

Education:

• Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Must be admitted to the New York State Bar (required)
• Admission to the Connecticut Bar (preferred)
