Job Overview:

A prominent law firm is currently seeking a Junior to Midlevel Associate with 1-5 years of experience in intellectual property disputes to join their growing practice. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team on high-profile intellectual property litigation matters. Ideal candidates will have a technical background in electrical or computer engineering, computer science, or related fields, and a desire to contribute to a variety of complex and challenging IP dispute cases.

Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in complex intellectual property disputes, including patent infringement, trademark, and trade secrets cases.
  • Draft legal pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions and memoranda.
  • Assist with the discovery process, including managing document review and drafting discovery requests.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on IP litigation and enforcement issues.
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, and other litigation proceedings.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members on case strategy and client management.

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of relevant experience in intellectual property litigation at a large law firm.
  • Strong technical background, ideally in electrical or computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Active membership in the bar of the state in which the position is located.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in the state where applying.

Skills:

  • Intellectual property law expertise, particularly in patent and trademark litigation.
  • Excellent drafting, research, and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
