Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Associate to join its Berkeley Heights, NJ location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and litigation, with at least 4 years of experience handling a variety of employment-related claims. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a national leader in labor and employment law, providing defense and counsel on a wide range of employment issues.

Location:

  • Berkeley Heights, NJ

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits related to a broad spectrum of employment claims and agency charges of discrimination.
  • Advise, counsel, and train employers on various labor and employment law issues.
  • Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration.
  • Handle employment matters including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete cases.
  • Provide guidance on current agency procedures and manage case strategies effectively.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in employment or commercial litigation.
  • Strong background in employment law preferred.
  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar in good standing.
  • Understanding of current state and federal agency procedures related to employment law.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of excellence.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Strong commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and collegiality.

Education:

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Current NJ Bar admission in good standing.
