A law firm in Washington, D.C., is seeking a skilled and dedicated Junior to Mid-level Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in private practice within the Trusts and Estates (T&E) sector, with strong transactional experience in trust and estate planning. The role demands superior academic credentials and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive legal counsel on trust and estate planning matters.
  • Draft, review, and manage estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Advise clients on tax implications related to estate planning and asset management.
  • Administer estates and trusts, including preparation of probate documents and management of trust assets.
  • Represent clients in court regarding probate and estate administration issues.
  • Conduct detailed legal research to support client advice and document preparation.
  • Maintain and manage client relationships, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver high-quality legal services.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Trusts and Estates (T&E) private practice.
  • Transactional experience in trust and estate planning.
  • Proven ability to manage and execute complex estate planning transactions.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Superior academic credentials.
  • Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
