Job Overview:
A rapidly growing law firm specializing in workers' compensation and general practice is seeking a skilled Family Law Attorney to join its team. This is a hybrid remote position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to manage a variety of family law and estate planning cases. The ideal candidate will be licensed in both Illinois and Indiana, with a focus on family law matters such as divorce, child custody, spousal support, and estate planning.

Location:

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and estate planning.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as divorce decrees, custody agreements, wills, and trusts.
  • Assist clients with estate planning, including creating and updating wills, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Represent clients in court during hearings and trials related to family law and estate planning matters.
  • Manage a caseload of family law and estate planning cases, ensuring timely communication with clients and adherence to deadlines.
  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure comprehensive legal representation.
  • Stay updated on changes in family law and estate planning legislation and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice in the State of Indiana and Illinois.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in family law, with a focus on divorce, custody, and estate planning matters.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively and efficiently.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in Illinois and Indiana.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
