Job Overview: A law firm specializing in personal injury law is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Personal Injury Attorney to join their team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload, providing legal representation to clients injured in accidents, ensuring exceptional client service, and maximizing case value through strategic negotiation and litigation.

Job Duties:

  • Assign cases to Case Managers and supervise their activities to ensure efficient case management.
  • Conduct attorney reviews of non-priority cases to monitor coverage and liability issues, oversee medical management, and address client concerns promptly.
  • Communicate with clients to maintain high standards of client service and facilitate medical treatment as needed.
  • Attend weekly pre-litigation conferences with litigation attorneys to evaluate case progress and determine optimal legal strategies.
  • Oversee the medical records department, ensuring timely review and processing of records.
  • Manage employee issues with HR, ensuring departmental and firm policy adherence.
  • Handle escalated client calls and communications requiring attorney intervention.
  • Perform settlement negotiations and review settlement memos for accuracy.
  • Strategize methods to enhance case value and client benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as the Statute of Limitations.
  • Utilize CRM software and dashboard reports to analyze case status and prioritize workload.
  • Collaborate with adjusters and external parties to facilitate case resolution and post-settlement matters.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the NC State Bar is in good standing; admission to the SC State Bar is a plus.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in personal injury law practice preferred.
  • Strong passion for client service and operational excellence.
  • Supervisory experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, build strong relationships, and lead a team effectively.
  • Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to ethical standards, client confidentiality, and integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows/Office; experience with Litify or similar CRM software preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
