Job Title: Trial Attorney

Job Overview: A distinguished law firm in Atlanta, GA, specializing in creditor’s rights, is currently seeking a Trial Attorney with experience in consumer and commercial collection litigation. This role involves managing cases from inception to completion, engaging in client consultations, and working closely with legal support teams to ensure successful case outcomes.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload from start to finish, including initial review, preparation, and follow-up.
• Appear in court for various hearings and trials related to consumer and commercial collection matters.
• Prepare, review, and file pleadings and other legal documents.
• Conduct case assessments and negotiate settlements.
• Collaborate closely with legal support staff and other attorneys to maintain effective case management.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited institution.
• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida, with additional state licenses being highly preferred.
• 2-4 years of trial experience, with a focus on collection litigation.
• Strong knowledge of consumer protection laws, such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle a high-volume caseload effectively and prioritize work.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree required.

Certifications:

• Active membership and good standing with the Florida State Bar.
• Additional bar admissions in other states are preferred.
