Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Overland Park, KS, is seeking an accomplished Family Law Attorney. This role involves managing a diverse caseload of domestic law matters, requiring a highly skilled professional with excellent client service and case management capabilities. Duties:

  • Represent clients in family law matters, including consultations, mediations, depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Draft, review, and respond to pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, parenting plans, and correspondence.

  • Communicate regularly with clients, court personnel, opposing parties, and internal staff.
  • Manage case files, including organizing documents, preparing exhibits, and adhering to deadlines.
  • Attend court hearings and other case-related engagements requiring travel.
  • Participate in networking and community events to expand professional connections.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in family/domestic law practice.
  • Active law license in Kansas or Missouri (dual licensure preferred).
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel for case-related activities.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in Kansas or Missouri (both preferred).

Skills:

  • Advanced case management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), Adobe, and case management software.
  • Strong writing and oral communication capabilities.
