Personal Injury Trial Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a highly motivated and experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorney to join their litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for trial work, a solid commitment to client advocacy, and the ability to manage a substantial caseload effectively. This role involves hands-on management of cases from inception through trial, including all aspects of litigation, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations. Job Responsibilities:

• Handle cases from filing the complaint to trial, including all aspects of case management.
• Provide guidance and leadership to the litigation team.
• Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and expert witnesses.
• Review and provide feedback on drafted documents from staff and associates.
• Strategize and prepare for trials, including drafting and arguing Motions in Limine and other trial-related documents.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and manage settlement/dispositive proceedings such as mediations and arbitrations.
• Serve as First and Second Chair during jury trials.
• Handle post-trial motions and proceedings.
• Provide legal opinions and advice to clients throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of trial experience as First Chair.
• At least 5 years of experience in personal injury litigation.
• Should have 2-5 years of relevant experience
• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Ability to handle a large caseload and meet strict deadlines.
• Proven ability to create and execute comprehensive litigation plans.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in legal writing and law and motion practice.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the California State Bar.
