A reputable law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic team in Denver. As part of the litigation team, the Senior Attorney will handle cases involving commercial disputes, general liability, construction, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims, while also guiding and mentoring junior attorneys.

Duties:

• Manage a variety of litigation cases, including commercial disputes, general liability, construction, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims.
• Lead cases from inception to resolution, including strategy development, discovery management, depositions, expert coordination, and law and motion practice.
• Take an active role in trial preparation and participate in mediations (trial experience is highly valued).
• Oversee and mentor a team of associate attorneys, providing training, feedback, and guidance to foster their professional development.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and experts to manage case progression and ensure positive outcomes.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in general liability, construction, catastrophic injury, contracts/business, and/or commercial disputes within a law firm setting.
• Proven track record of independently handling cases from start to finish, including discovery, depositions, trial prep, and mediation.
• At least 2 years of experience supervising and mentoring a team of attorneys.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a client-focused and results-driven approach.
• Active membership in the Colorado State Bar or a jurisdiction with reciprocity.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in Colorado or a jurisdiction with reciprocity.

Skills:

• Strong litigation strategy development and implementation.
• Expertise in case management from start to finish, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Supervisory and leadership experience with a focus on attorney development.
• Effective communication, advocacy, and negotiation skills.
