A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Fort Washington, PA office, specializing in commercial litigation with additional opportunities in personal injury law. This role involves drafting and reviewing legal documents, managing case files, and participating in depositions. Ideal for an attorney with strong litigation skills and an interest in business development, this position offers a collaborative environment, professional growth, and mentorship.

Duties

  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and other essential legal documents
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and provide legal opinions
  • Support case management by preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials
  • Prepare witnesses for depositions, attend, defend, and take depositions, and analyze deposition transcripts to refine case strategies
  • Proactively identify additional tasks that contribute to the overall success of the litigation team
  • Participate in business development initiatives with mentorship to help build a personal book of business

Requirements

  • Experience: 4-5 years of experience in commercial litigation (personal injury experience is a plus)
  • Skills: Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Team Skills: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Education

  • Degree: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Bar Admission: Active bar membership in Pennsylvania; New Jersey bar preferred
