Job Title: Entry-Level Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:

A well-established law firm in San Antonio, TX, is currently seeking an Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to develop valuable experience in immigration law while working with a dynamic group of professionals. The successful candidate will work directly with clients, manage caseloads, and collaborate with a team of skilled attorneys and legal assistants.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on immigration-related matters, including explaining complex concepts and proposing strategic solutions.
• Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Oversee and manage a caseload of diverse immigration cases, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.
• Conduct intakes and visits with detained individuals at immigration detention centers.
• Review, revise, and prepare immigration applications and petitions.
• Work closely with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on updates and changes in immigration laws.
• Meet with prospective clients to discuss immigration strategies and determine the best legal path forward.
• Develop case strategies and assist in preparing clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony.
• Prepare and submit legal briefs and other documents for various immigration cases.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in immigration law.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Preferably bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Demonstrated experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, EOIR, detained cases, citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
• Familiarity with case management software is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
• High level of attention to detail and organization.
