A law firm seeks an Insurance Defense Attorney for their Los Angeles, CA office. This position requires 3-7 years of insurance defense litigation experience.

The Insurance Defense Attorney will analyze professional liability claims and litigation in state and federal courts in California and nationwide. The ideal candidate must possess vital research, writing, and analytical skills and take pride in their work product. They should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic. Additionally, the candidate should have superb administrative hygiene and be able to handle both liability and coverage litigation. Duties:

• Analyze professional liability claims
• Handle litigation in state and federal courts
• Conduct legal research
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations
• Attend hearings, depositions, and trials
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients

Requirements:

• Active California Bar license
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• 3-7 years of insurance defense litigation experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional writing and advocacy skills
