Job Overview:
A reputable law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a passionate and dependable bilingual Associate Attorney to join its dynamic legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for newly licensed California attorneys who are interested in immigration law. The firm handles various stages of immigration cases, including USCIS Asylum Petitions, Family-Based Petitions, AOS interviews, work permits, and more. Training will be provided to the right candidate with an interest in growing within the immigration field.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

  • Represent clients in various stages of immigration proceedings
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of USCIS Asylum Petitions, Family-Based Petitions, and Work Permits
  • Conduct interviews and prepare clients for AOS interviews
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case management
  • Draft legal documents, motions, and applications
  • Maintain effective communication with clients regarding case progress
  • Ensure compliance with immigration law and policies
  • Support the firm’s immigration department and assist with additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience as an attorney (preferred)
  • Must be bilingual (Spanish preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills in immigration law
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Education:

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in California (CA Bar required)

Skills:

  • Excellent writing and research skills
  • Proficiency in immigration law and legal procedures
  • Strong verbal communication and client interaction abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
