This role involves working on complex employment law cases, managing all aspects of litigation, and collaborating with a dynamic legal team. Location:

Duties:

  • Manage a dynamic caseload of wage and hour class actions and PAGA representative lawsuits.
  • Interface with clients and provide legal counsel on employment law matters.
  • Draft and argue motions in both state and federal courts.
  • Conduct all aspects of discovery, including taking and defending depositions.
  • Engage in legal research and drafting of briefs and other legal documents.
  • Attend mediations and negotiate settlements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience (preferred).
  • Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience handling complex litigation matters, particularly in wage and hour class actions.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of discovery, including written discovery and depositions.
  • Skilled in legal research and motion practice.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active and good-standing membership with the California State Bar (Required).

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing and research abilities.
  • Fluency in Spanish (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
