Duties

  • Manage a full caseload of property insurance litigation cases.

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions.

  • Argue hearings and conduct depositions.

  • Negotiate settlements, both informally and in mediation.

  • Provide guidance and leadership to paralegals and administrative staff.

  • Communicate effectively and regularly with clients to provide case updates.

  • Collaborate with fellow attorneys to develop legal strategies.

Requirements

  • Active Florida Bar membership.

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience.

  • Experience handling property insurance cases (plaintiff or defense side).

  • Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to manage cases independently and stay organized.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and legal research tools such as Westlaw.

  • Trial experience is a plus but not required.
