Job Overview:

A law firm in New York City, NY, seeks a highly skilled Private Credit Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience in private credit and finance matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lending, with demonstrated experience on the borrower's side being a plus. This role involves handling various financing transactions, including cash flow deals, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations. Experience in asset-based financings, restructurings, and workouts will be an additional advantage.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in private credit and finance transactions, including cash flow deals, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, credit facilities, and related documents.
  • Advise clients on legal and regulatory aspects of lending transactions and financing arrangements.
  • Conduct due diligence and risk assessments for financing deals.
  • Collaborate with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure successful transaction execution.
  • Guide asset-based financings, restructurings, and workouts as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, legal developments, and private credit and finance best practices.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in private credit and finance matters at a nationally recognized law firm or relevant legal experience.
  • Demonstrated lending experience; borrower’s side exposure is a plus.
  • Experience with various financing transactions, including cash flow deals, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations.
  • Knowledge of asset-based financings, restructurings, and workouts is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the New York State Bar or eligible for admission.
