A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. This position offers a great opportunity for a motivated attorney to gain hands-on trial experience across multiple states, including Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. Duties

  • Handle civil litigation matters, including written discovery, motion practice, and depositions.
  • Actively participate in trial preparation and provide coverage during trials.
  • Conduct research and draft legal memoranda to support litigation strategy.
  • Represent clients in court and during hearings as needed.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and manage client expectations.
  • Contribute to appellate work as needed, under the guidance of senior trial attorneys.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and strategic advice.

Requirements

  • 0-5 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on civil lawsuits.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and time management abilities.
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and eagerness to grow within the firm.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Minnesota (additional licensure in North Dakota or Wisconsin is a plus).
