Job Overview:

A law firm seeks a dedicated and motivated Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney to join its legal team in New York City. The firm, with over 40 years of experience representing clients in personal injury cases, offers a dynamic work environment where attorneys collaborate on diverse cases from inception through trial. This role is ideal for an attorney with 3-4 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury law who is eager to take on challenging cases and further develop their litigation skills.

Duties:

• Work alongside experienced attorneys to guide clients through the entire legal process, from case initiation to trial.
• Maintain positive, professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel through effective communication.
• Manage a heavy caseload independently, prioritizing tasks and deadlines efficiently.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare necessary legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and trial preparation materials.
• Attend and contribute to depositions, court appearances, and trials.

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury law.
• Licensed to practice law in New York (required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with legal case management software (experience with Filevine is a plus).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with clients and legal professionals.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of New York.
