Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced blockchain associate Attorney to advise blockchain companies at various stages of growth. This role involves working with clients on venture capital financings, token issuances, corporate structuring, and decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) formation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for blockchain technology and assist clients in navigating a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape while supporting general venture capital and tech company transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise blockchain companies on corporate structuring, token issuances, and DAO formation.
  • Provide legal guidance on venture capital financings and investment transactions.
  • Navigate and interpret emerging regulatory frameworks related to blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts for blockchain and emerging tech companies.
  • Stay up to date with legal and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Assist clients with general corporate transactions related to blockchain and crypto businesses.
  • Develop strategies for intellectual property protection and technology licensing.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across various practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal advice.
  • Represent clients in complex negotiations and dispute resolutions.

Job Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a major law firm in Emerging Companies, Venture Capital, and/or Blockchain/Crypto.
  • Extensive knowledge of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, token issuances, and decentralized finance.
  • Experience advising on corporate structuring, venture capital financing, and general tech company corporate transactions.
  • Ability to assist clients in understanding and complying with the evolving regulatory landscape.
  • Membership in the State Bar of California.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills.

Educational Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials, with a focus on corporate law or emerging technologies.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar (required).
  • Additional blockchain-related certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
