Job Details:

  • Apply deep understanding of employment and worker's compensation laws to practical legal scenarios.
  • Draft legal documents including demand letters, pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and contract reviews related to employment matters.
  • Manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously with precision and meet strict deadlines.
  • Provide clear legal advice, effective negotiation, and advocacy in legal settings.
  • Support senior staff on complex cases, actively participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, interviews, and trials.
  • Maintain active Bar license; Ohio or Michigan Bar preferred.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar license in Ohio or Michigan; additional state Bar admissions are a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience practicing employment law, including worker's compensation matters.
  • Proven track record in drafting legal documents and providing strategic legal advice.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex caseloads and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate legal concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and advocacy skills in legal settings.
