The role involves working with a diverse range of insurance clients, providing legal advice, and handling both pre-litigation and litigated insurance coverage matters. Duties

• Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare comprehensive insurance coverage opinions for various insurance clients.
• Review claim files, assess underlying claim materials, and analyze relevant policy language.
• Draft detailed coverage analyses and Reservation of Rights letters.
• Participate in the defense and litigation of primary and excess insurance coverage disputes.
• Meet a required annual billable hours target of 1,850.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant legal experience, with a focus on insurance coverage.
• Previous litigation experience is required.
• Trial experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently and develop creative legal strategies.

Education

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Washington State, with eligibility to practice in Federal courts (preferred).
