A law firm seeks a skilled mid to senior-level attorney to join its established and highly regarded real estate practice in New York City. The position offers the opportunity to work on complex commercial real estate transactions, financings, and restructuring projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team across various office locations.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel for clients in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, financings, and joint ventures.
  • Advise clients on real estate workouts and restructuring strategies.
  • Draft and negotiate legal documents, including purchase agreements, loan documents, and joint venture agreements.
  • Manage and supervise the work of junior attorneys and paralegals.
  • Engage directly with clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality work product and manage multiple projects effectively.

Requirements:

  • 4 to 6 years of transactional real estate experience, ideally in a large or mid-sized law firm.
  • Proficiency in areas such as real estate finance, joint ventures, and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Experience in managing matters and directly interacting with clients.
  • A strong commitment to providing excellent client service and maintaining high professional standards.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • An active member of the Bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, preferably New York.

Skills:

  • Exceptional drafting and legal writing abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and supervise junior legal professionals.
