A law firm in Flint, MI, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team. The candidate will work closely with attorneys practicing family law and civil litigation, and potentially other practice areas, gaining valuable experience in a supportive environment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with senior attorneys on family law and civil litigation cases.
  • Research legal issues and draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda.
  • Prepare for and attend court hearings, including arguing motions and petitions as required.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and managing expectations.
  • Assist with other practice areas as needed and directed by senior attorneys.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Michigan license to practice law, or pending application for admission.
  • 0-5 years of relevant experience; new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and argue motions in court.
  • License to practice law in Michigan is preferred.
