Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Criminal Defense Attorney to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. Duties:

  • Advise clients on their legal rights and draw up legal documents related to their cases.
  • Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide strategic advice following each hearing.
  • Manage court appearances and trials, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and performing legal research.
  • Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents.
  • Manage a workload of cases, ensuring timely and effective handling.
  • Provide legal analysis for clients to determine any possible case benefits.
  • Accrue additional evidence to support clients' cases or for arguments against the prosecution's charges.
  • Prepare clients for depositions, determine essential goals of case strategy, and gather information from witnesses and critical experts that support the client’s positions.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of Criminal Defense Experience.
  • Experience handling complex federal, state, and local criminal cases.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • A team player open to helping, strategizing, and working with fellow associates.
  • Interpersonal skills of the highest caliber.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
