Trademark Associate

Job Overview:
A well-regarded law firm is seeking a Trademark Associate with at least two years of trademark experience to join its dynamic trademark team. Location:

• Boulder, CO

Duties:

• Perform trademark searches and provide thorough search reviews.
• Develop and implement global trademark strategies for clients.
• Manage domestic and international trademark prosecution.
• Handle trademark enforcement issues, including demand letters and takedown requests.
• Represent clients in TTAB (Trademark Trial and Appeal Board) and UDRP (Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy) proceedings.
• Provide legal advice and opinions on trademark portfolio management and trademark law.
• Draft, review, and negotiate trademark-related legal documents, including applications, agreements, and cease-and-desist letters.
• Collaborate with colleagues across various practice areas to develop business-oriented solutions for clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in trademark law, including trademark prosecution and enforcement.
• Experience with trademark searching, global strategy development, and TTAB/UDRP proceedings.
• Exceptional writing, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage a trademark portfolio and interact with clients effectively.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-oriented environment.
• Foreign language proficiency is a plus but not required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the bar of the relevant jurisdiction(s), or eligibility for admission.

Certifications:

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction(s), or eligibility for reciprocity.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of trademark law, including both domestic and international matters.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and drafting skills.
• Experience in trademark enforcement and prosecution.
• Ability to manage and grow client relationships.
• Proficiency in legal technology tools for trademark management.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in a collegial environment.
