Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Columbia, SC, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of litigation experience and be licensed to practice in South Carolina. This role involves managing litigation cases, preparing legal documents, and representing clients in various legal proceedings. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of litigation matters, including case strategy, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
• Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, and mediations.
• Prepare for and attend hearings and trials, presenting evidence and making legal arguments.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and internal teams to develop case strategies and ensure effective case management.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates, advise on case progress, and develop case strategies.
• Participate in case management meetings and contribute to the development of legal strategies.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
• Over 2 years of litigation experience.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and work under pressure.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice in South Carolina.

Skills:
