Job Overview
A prestigious law firm is seeking a Senior Discovery Attorney to join its team. This role will focus on overseeing and managing all aspects of eDiscovery in litigation, transactional, compliance matters, and government investigations. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience handling the discovery process from preservation through production, as well as pre-litigation information governance, deposition/witness preparation, and trial preparation when applicable.

Duties

  • Advise and support case teams and clients through all discovery phases, from preservation to production.
  • Assist with pre-litigation information governance and trial preparation as necessary.
  • Work closely with attorneys, technologists, and case teams to develop case-specific eDiscovery workflows and protocols.
  • Ensure the focus remains on cost control, risk mitigation, and defensibility while identifying key information for successful case outcomes.
  • Oversee the work and quality of deliverables for junior Discovery Attorneys, Project Attorneys, technologists, and service providers.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in eDiscovery and litigation support.
  • Must be licensed and in good standing in the state of practice.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex eDiscovery matters.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • eDiscovery certifications, such as Relativity Certified Pro or Certified E-Discovery Specialist, are strongly preferred.

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal and technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other corporate messaging/collaboration tools.
  • Expertise with Relativity is highly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a focus on managing teams and workflows.
