Job Overview: A law firm in the Charleston, SC area is seeking an experienced Real Estate Closing Attorney to join its team. This role involves managing both residential and commercial real estate transactions, including overseeing closings, reviewing legal documents, and working closely with clients and other stakeholders. The attorney will play a key role in ensuring smooth and compliant real estate processes while helping the firm grow its client base.

Location:

Duties:

  • Oversee residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales and refinances
  • Review property titles and ensure title accuracy
  • Collaborate with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate real estate closings
  • Draft and review real estate-related documents, such as contracts, deeds, leases, and purchase agreements
  • Provide professional and responsive service to clients, addressing any concerns or questions
  • Review and approve disbursement ledgers and sign closing checks
  • Build and maintain business relationships with clients, agents, and lenders
  • Conduct training for clients on relevant real estate law topics

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing with the South Carolina State Bar
  • Experience in residential real estate transactions preferred (training available for qualified candidates)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education:
