Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm in San Francisco, CA, seeks a Litigation Career Associate Attorney with at least 7 years of legal experience to join its dynamic litigation team. This is a full-time, non-partner position that offers the opportunity to work on high-profile cases while managing various aspects of the litigation process, including trial preparation and client communication. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving long-term projects, collaborating with other legal professionals, and enhancing team performance.

Duties:

• Actively participate in trial teams, contributing to the preparation and presentation of cases
• Manage trial calendars and oversee the staffing of associates within the group
• Draft legal briefs, motions, and discovery documents
• Handle discovery tasks, including e-discovery processes
• Prepare witnesses for depositions and trials
• Develop and deliver client presentations, thought leadership materials, and business development pitches
• Oversee the execution of long-term projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
• Work closely with lawyers, practice leaders, and practice managers to optimize team efficiency
• Facilitate seamless transitions for new team members and assist in their integration into the group
• Collaborate with internal teams to allocate resources effectively to maximize client impact
• Deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to deadlines and multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

• At least 7 years of litigation experience
• Strong proficiency in drafting legal documents and handling discovery tasks
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, matrix environment
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong customer service orientation, with a focus on delivering high-quality results

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Member in good standing with the State Bar of California or eligible to practice in California

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of California (or eligibility to practice in California)

Salaries are in line with other top Bay Area firms, and the firm provides a $10,000 bonus for all lawyers who bill at least 1,950 hours, with additional money based on three separate billable-hour levels above 1,950.
