Job Overview: We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious law firm that seeks a mid- to senior-level litigation attorney to join their Health Care Litigation team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex litigation and regulatory matters related to the health care sector. Residency in Albany, New York City, or Rochester is preferred, and the firm offers a dynamic platform for professional growth.

Duties:

  • Manage health care-related litigation cases and disputed regulatory matters.
  • Collaborate with team members on strategy and case development.
  • Handle commercial litigation, focusing on health care or other regulated industries.
  • Provide legal counsel on a variety of health care issues and disputes.
  • Represent clients in court, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Interface directly with clients on significant and intricate cases.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external experts to craft legal strategies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial litigation.
  • Demonstrated interest or prior experience in health care litigation or regulatory disputes.
  • Strong background in highly regulated industries or health care sectors.
  • Prior prosecutorial or health care industry-related experience is a plus.
  • Licensed to practice law in New York State.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active New York State Bar membership.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation abilities.
  • Proven capacity to work on complex, client-facing legal matters.
  • Ability to develop strategic litigation approaches and lead cases independently.

Compensation:

  • Salary range: $125,000 - $155,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications).
  • This range does not include performance-based bonuses or additional benefits provided by the firm.
