A law firm seeks two full-time Associate Attorneys to join its Employment and Civil Litigation practice groups in Redding, CA. The ideal candidates will have 2 to 5 years of experience in employment law or general litigation. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of legal matters while contributing to the firm's strong reputation in the California legal community. Successful candidates will have excellent communication and writing skills, as well as the ability to effectively manage a caseload while collaborating with senior attorneys.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in employment matters and general litigation, handling all phases of cases from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation, strategy development, and court submissions.
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences on behalf of clients.
  • Advise clients on legal options, strategies, and potential outcomes related to employment and civil litigation matters.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and answering questions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to refine case strategies and contribute to the firm’s growth and development.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in employment law or general civil litigation.
  • Strong academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing.
  • Excellent writing and research skills with the ability to draft complex legal documents.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to represent clients effectively in court and negotiations.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Recent law school graduates with exceptional academic credentials are also encouraged to apply.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
