A law firm seeks an experienced and motivated Mid- to Senior-level Litigation Associate to join its remote legal team. The ideal candidate will have between 4 to 7 years of litigation experience, with the ability to handle cases independently from start to finish. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate with a passion for litigation, who is self-driven, detail-oriented, and looking to grow in a dynamic and supportive environment. The firm offers the chance to work on a diverse range of cases, including those involving financial advisors and broker-dealers in FINRA arbitration claims, regulatory work, and general litigation in various courts.

Duties:

  • Independently manage a caseload, handling cases from inception to resolution with minimal oversight.
  • Represent clients in FINRA arbitration claims, regulatory matters, and general litigation.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct legal research and provide comprehensive analysis to support case strategies.
  • Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, and represent clients in arbitration proceedings.
  • Communicate directly with clients to provide updates, gather information, and discuss case strategy.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all work product.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff as needed to ensure efficient case management.
  • Meet billable hour requirements and deadlines, while maintaining a balanced work-life approach.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years and up to 7 years of litigation experience.
  • Strong ability to independently manage and resolve cases from start to finish.
  • Experience in FINRA arbitration claims and regulatory matters preferred.
  • Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven track record of working remotely or independently in a legal setting.
  • Must have a valid Bar license.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Experience in handling complex litigation matters independently.
  • Knowledge of FINRA arbitration procedures and regulatory work.
  • Ability to take initiative and handle a caseload without significant oversight.
