Job Title: Immigration Attorney

Job Overview: A prestigious law firm located in Fresno, CA is currently seeking an experienced and driven Immigration Attorney to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in immigration law, a strong commitment to client service, and the ability to manage a caseload effectively while working collaboratively with other legal professionals.

Duties:

• Provide strategic legal advice on immigration matters and present well-informed solutions to clients.
• Represent clients, including both detained and non-detained individuals, in removal proceedings at the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Handle a wide range of immigration cases, including family-based immigration petitions and removal defense.
• Conduct intake assessments for detained individuals at detention centers.
• Prepare and submit immigration applications and legal briefs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutors, and community organizations regarding changes in immigration law.
• Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court or USCIS testimony.
• Maintain regular contact with clients, providing legal analysis and assessing case benefits.
• Review case files, recommend necessary adjustments, and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience practicing immigration law.
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative legal team.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload and move cases forward promptly.
• Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR, detained clients, citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
• Familiarity with case management software is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar.

Certifications:

• Must be admitted to practice law.

Skills:

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in legal documentation and preparing briefs.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent client-relations skills, with a focus on providing high-caliber legal representation.
