Job Overview:
A prestigious southeastern law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Commercial Real Estate team in Charlotte, NC. The attorney will engage in various commercial real estate tasks, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, due diligence, and joint ventures. This role demands strong expertise in structuring, negotiating, and documenting commercial real estate transactions, as well as the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

Duties:

  • Assist clients with commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Negotiate and draft leases, joint venture agreements, and related documents.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and risk assessments for real estate transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients, real estate developers, and financial institutions to provide tailored legal solutions.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting commercial real estate.
  • Guide land use and zoning matters as needed.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree (or equivalent) with demonstrated experience in commercial real estate.
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar is preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar, preferably North Carolina.

Skills:

  • Expertise in commercial real estate law.
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
