A law firm seeks a junior to mid-level attorney to join their team in Irvine, CA. This position involves handling code enforcement and gun confiscation cases for municipal clients across California. Duties:

  • Manage code enforcement and gun confiscation cases for municipal clients throughout California.
  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including drafting legal documents, and preparing for hearings, and court appearances.
  • Work closely with municipal clients to understand and address their legal needs.
  • Travel to client offices and various courts across the state as required.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and resolution.
  • Provide legal counsel and recommendations to municipal clients on code enforcement matters.

Requirements:

  • Must be admitted to the State Bar of California.
  • 3 to 5 years of legal experience, with a focus on municipal law, code enforcement, or related practice areas preferred.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and court appearances.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with clients and colleagues.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Excellent litigation, legal writing, and research skills.
  • Ability to handle complex cases independently.
