Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a Patent Litigation Technical Advisor with a background in electrical engineering to join its IP Litigation team in Boston. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a team of attorneys and experts on cutting-edge patent infringement and validity issues. Location:

  • Boston, MA

Duties:

  • Review and analyze technical literature, patents, and patent application documents.

  • Understand, critique, and provide insights on technical data relevant to patent litigation.

  • Collaborate with attorneys and experts on infringement and validity issues.

  • Analyze products in connection with claims of patent infringement.

  • Support the development of global patent portfolio strategies.

  • Assist attorneys with expert reports and witness examinations.

  • Present and explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).

  • Prior industry experience in electrical engineering.

  • Ability to analyze and synthesize large amounts of technical literature.

  • Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts to a range of audiences, including legal professionals.

  • Ability to differentiate and describe technological breakthroughs in detail.

  • Collaboration and teamwork skills to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and experts.

Education:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Skills:

  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to work with technical data.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical details clearly.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
