A law firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Personal Injury Attorney to join its team in Columbia, Missouri. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing personal injury caseloads through the pre-litigation process, negotiating with insurance companies, and maintaining positive client relationships. This role involves collaborating with the legal team to ensure the highest standard of legal services and providing direction to non-attorney staff. Duties:

  • Manage personal injury caseloads through the pre-litigation claim process.
  • Interact and negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of clients.
  • Maintain positive relationships and consistent communication with clients.
  • Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all legal documents prepared.
  • Comply with all applicable legal standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Active Missouri Bar license (required).
  • Minimum of 1 year of personal injury law experience.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Missouri Bar License (required).

Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and other legal technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a legal team.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
