Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Workers Compensation Attorney to join its legal team. The position requires handling various aspects of workers' compensation cases, including legal counsel, settlement negotiations, case evaluation, legal research, and litigation. The successful candidate will provide strategic counsel, represent clients in court, and collaborate closely with a managing attorney.

Location:

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel to clients on workers compensation cases, including evaluating case merits, medical reviews, and providing guidance throughout the process.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, managing attorneys, and opposing counsel to meet clients' goals.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel.
  • Analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and research case law, statutes, regulations, and documents.
  • Communicate clearly and logically (both orally and in writing) with regulatory agencies, courts, counsel, and clients.
  • Handle complex issues with initiative, creativity, and sound professional judgment.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Manage a caseload and deadlines efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Mentor support staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.

Education:
