A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking an experienced Senior Discovery Attorney to lead eDiscovery initiatives, collaborating closely with eMerge attorneys, technologists, case teams, and clients to ensure efficient and legally compliant handling of discovery processes.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with eMerge attorneys, technologists, case teams, and clients to develop and manage case-specific eDiscovery workflows and protocols.
  • Oversee and ensure the quality of work and deliverables for eMerge Discovery Attorneys, Project Attorneys, technologists, and service providers, maintaining consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and support to case teams and clients on all discovery phases, including preservation, production, and post-production activities such as deposition and trial preparation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and strategic decision-making.
  • Effectively communicate complex legal and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
  • Utilize expertise with eDiscovery tools and platforms, particularly Relativity, and possess fluency in corporate messaging and productivity solutions like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and in good standing.
  • 5-7 years of experience in eDiscovery within a law firm setting.
  • Deep understanding of eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in preservation, filtering, and export capabilities of corporate messaging and collaboration solutions.
  • Preferred expertise with eDiscovery software, especially Relativity.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and project management skills to oversee complex eDiscovery projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and across different departments.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certification in eDiscovery (e.g., Relativity Certified Administrator) is advantageous.
