Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal counsel on consumer finance regulatory law and mortgage broker compliance.
  • Advise on traditional, non-traditional, and FinTech financial solutions.
  • Manage regulatory relations, including licensing and applications.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Represent clients in regulatory matters before state and federal agencies.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to provide comprehensive legal services.
  • Develop and implement regulatory compliance strategies for clients.
  • Keep abreast of changes in consumer finance laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the state bar.
  • Experience in financial services regulatory law.
  • Proven experience as financial institution counsel and regulatory counsel.
  • Expertise in consumer finance regulatory law and mortgage broker counsel.
  • Experience with traditional, non-traditional, and FinTech financial solutions.
  • Strong background in regulatory relations, including licensing and applications.
  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills.

Education and Certifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar is required.
