Job Overview: A law firm in Florham Park is seeking an Employment Counsel with substantial experience in employment law matters. Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex employment law issues to provide strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Draft and review employment agreements, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and settlements related to employment disputes.
  • Stay updated on developments in employment law and regulatory changes that may impact clients.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to address multifaceted employment law issues.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in New Jersey.
  • 8+ years of experience in employment law matters, with a strong track record of success in employment litigation.
  • Experience in managing a litigation caseload from initiation to trial.
  • Prior experience in employment counseling or in-house employment law is preferred.
  • License to practice law in New York is strongly preferred.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills with the ability to draft complex legal documents and provide clear legal advice.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with extensive experience interacting with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
  • License to practice law in New York is strongly preferred.
