A law firm seeks an experienced and skilled Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its team in Boston, MA. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to work on a variety of complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financing, zoning, construction law, and leasing matters. Duties:

  • Represent clients in a broad spectrum of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing for retail, industrial, and office properties.
  • Collaborate with developers, financiers, and other stakeholders on commercial property acquisitions, developments, financing, and leasing at local, regional, and national levels.
  • Provide legal counsel on real estate business matters, including negotiating and drafting acquisition, disposition, construction, and permanent loan agreements.
  • Perform due diligence, including reviewing contracts, documents, and title reports to identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Negotiate and draft commercial leases, subleases, ground leases, and other related documents for real estate holdings, ensuring client interests are fully protected.
  • Advise clients on complex legal issues related to specialized properties such as laboratory/tech properties, suburban office parks, and downtown office buildings.

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Massachusetts Bar.
  • 5-7 years of experience in commercial real estate law, with comprehensive experience in all aspects of real estate transactions.
  • Strong ability to establish and maintain client relationships.
  • A portable book of business is a plus, but not required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar in good standing.

Skills:

  • Expertise in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financing, and leasing.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to draft complex legal documents.
  • Ability to conduct due diligence and resolve legal issues effectively.
  • Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Experience advising on specialized properties such as tech labs and office buildings.
