A law firm seeks a Junior Associate to join its Labor & Employment Department in Los Angeles. This position is ideal for candidates with at least two years of experience representing employers in employment law litigation, particularly in cases involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful discharge.

Duties:

  • Represent employers in various employment law matters, focusing on litigation.
  • Handle cases related to discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful termination.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Assist in the growth and support of the national labor and employment practice.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in employment law litigation.
  • Strong academic background and law firm experience are preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant labor and employment laws, particularly in California.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in California.
