Job Overview: A law firm seeks an Intake Attorney for its fast-paced Concord, CA office. The successful candidate will work directly with clients, primarily property owners and managers, to provide legal advice on landlord-tenant matters and assess the viability of evictions. Duties:

  • Guide clients through every phase of the eviction process, providing step-by-step assistance.
  • Offer legal consultations over the phone, evaluating case details and providing tailored advice.
  • Conduct legal research to assess and address case-specific issues and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Draft legal correspondence, including letters, notices, and other necessary documents based on client needs.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of legal documents, including summons, complaints, and stipulations.
  • Occasionally represent clients in court and during client presentations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active California Bar license (pending December 2024 license accepted).
  • Less than one year of attorney experience is acceptable.
  • General knowledge of civil litigation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with landlord-tenant principles.
  • Understanding of the litigation process and California Civil Code.
  • Experience in the rental housing industry is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:
